Thank you for considering membership to the Hamilton Cat Club. Currently we are a club of mainly breeders but would love to have more cat lovers and pet owners to join.
Our financial year goes from the 1st November to the 30th of October. Annual subscriptions are due as at the 1st of November each year, and cost $20 per person.
You do not have to hold membership in an NZCF club to enter your cat into our annual cat show. We would love to have you!
Our committee’s main purpose is to organise and manage our annual show in Hamilton, which is held each July. We hold monthly committee meetings to which all club members are welcome to attend. Please contact the secretary of the club to find out the date, time and venue.
We hold our annual AGM in March, at a venue to be decided.
How to apply
Please contact the club secretary so that you can be sent an application form. All membership application forms must be sent to the secretary for inclusion in the next available meeting agenda.
A current financial member must co-sign and nominate you for membership to the Hamilton Cat Club.
To join the club, you will need to:
Send an email with your application telling the committee something about yourself and why you would like to be a member of the Hamilton Cat Club. You can also come to a committee meeting to meet everyone and introduce yourself.
Your application will be presented to a committee meeting for approval. You will be contacted by the secretary to let you know of the results and you will be issued with a copy of the club’s constitution if your application is successful.
Prefix applications
You will need to be a full financial member of the Hamilton Cat Club for a full calendar month before you request the club to co-sign your prefix application form.
Once you have your form completed and ready for the club to co-sign, please send the form to the secretary to be included in the agenda for the next available committee meeting. You will be notified of the outcome of the meeting and the form will be returned to you so that you may include the appropriate payment and forward the document to the New Zealand Cat Fancy.
Please note: the Hamilton Cat Club will not be responsible for the forwarding of any payments or documents to the NZCF.
